These forest that they live in usually contain large areas of vegetation so they are more able to feed the abundance of squirrels living there. What i think we should do as a proper way to regulate the squirrel population is do what we do with wild cats. With wild cats the USPCA will catch them and have them fixed so they are unable to reproduce. How we will do this is in over populated areas of squirrels we will set traps, mind you the traps should not harm the animals. And we will choose some females to be unable to reproduce. I believe this will dramatically reduce the squirrel population to a number we are all happy with.
